How to inspect a CS2 skin on CSFolio
Copy the item’s inspect link from an inventory or marketplace surface that provides it. Open CSFolio’s Inspect Link Checker, paste the link and load the result. Review the item details and the available previews before comparing it with a listing or another item.
If a link fails, check that you copied the complete inspect link rather than an ordinary listing URL. An unavailable or unsupported link does not prove anything about the item’s value. Return to the source and obtain a current link before relying on its details.
Float and wear describe part of the appearance
Float is a numeric wear value; the wear label groups items into categories such as Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Different finishes respond differently to wear. Use the exact float together with a preview, instead of assuming every skin in one wear category looks identical.
Pattern seed matters for some finishes
Pattern seed determines how a pattern is applied to the item. Some finishes have recognizable variants or placements that collectors seek. A seed number alone does not establish a premium: compare the actual appearance, relevant listings and available market evidence.

Check stickers, charms and placement
Stickers and charms can make two otherwise similar items look different. Review the attachments and how they appear on the item. An attachment’s standalone price is not automatically the value it adds to a finished craft.

Browser previews and the in-game item
The viewer is a tool for examining appearance. Lighting, rendering and display settings can affect what you see, so a browser preview should not be treated as a guarantee of a pixel-identical in-game result. Confirm the actual item and transaction details before accepting a trade.
